Good assessment preparation starts with scope clarity. Teams should understand which firewalls, policy sets, routing paths, management interfaces and operational processes are in view.
Before sharing configuration exports, agree the handling route, retention expectations and who is authorised to access the evidence. Firewall exports should be treated as sensitive security material, even when they are only used for offline review.
